Kurbaan: a superb show
A good take on jihad
Forget the first 10-15 minutes in the starting and you will not feel an iota of any typical Bollywood touch in Kurbaan. It’s a pure world treat. Moreover the movie has successfully exploited the plot of world terrorism. Without taking any side the movie has tried to portray the burning issues of Jihad and Islamic terrorism. You will remember the movie for some marvellous dialogues and standalone performances by the actors. Not a single song has been used in lip sync but still you will feel that all of them have been put into right places with right intentions.
Director Rensil D’Silva has proved his mettle with this maiden effort. In the acting department, all have fared well including the big guns Saif, Kareena, Om Puri and Kirron Kher. The surprise comes in the form of Vivek Oberoi. He also presented a commendable performance. Kurbaan is a good take on world terrorism and politics by some pure Bollywood talents.
